Elgar, Pomp and Circumstance Marches, op. 39

It has rained today, too.

Cloudy weather, the mood down and today was hard because nothing good.  To give me confidence, I've heard Elgar's [Pomp and Circumstance Marches]. So today's blogging is Edward Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches, op. 39.

1. Land of Hope and Glory - Last night of the Proms 2010

Edward Elgar(1857.6.2 ~ 1934.2.23)'s  father, a piano tuner, he was born in England.  I learned almost a self-taught music, but released in 1899 <Enigma Variations> is recognized as a musician. And now it is Britain's national composer. 

 Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches from no.1 to no.5, but, no 1. is the most famous. Title "Pomp and Circumstance" is taken from Shakespeare's Othello called.

2. Fantasia 2000 - Pomp and Circumstance - Marches 1, 2, 3 and 4

Walt Disney's film Fantasia  was created animated Donald Duck using  Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance Marches on as background music. Fantasia 1940 Disney created the first time in this when the song was not. But Fantasia has been added the majestic march of 2000.
